HISTORY
I bought tannline.com in the nineties. It was my very first URL and the only one I had for at least a couple more years. I've used it for all kinds of purposes and at times let it fall into a state of chaotic disrepair. (I have a tendency to tear down and restart websites when a new idea strikes. Probably best for all that I direct that impulse to the virtual instead of say... the house I live in...)
Looking back on 1999ish from the perspective of the end of 2010 I wish I had kept more of my web "presence" on this one URL.
At various times in the last decade, I've split off blogging on more pop culture and personal thoughts to other sites. For a brief period of a couple years, I kept up some writing about my work in telecommunications at robertstanner.com. I've decided to go ahead and dump everything back into the "blog" here - it means no one reading the site will likely be interested in all of it but on the other hand I'm hoping it will greatly simplify life online going forward.
